THE POWER OF RED

Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is often used to express love. The color red is an intense color that is packed with emotion ranging from passionate, intense love to anger and violence — representing both cupid and the devil. It is a hot, strong, stimulating color that represents excitement and energy. Red represents power and courage. The color red is the basis of the traditional red power tie or red suit in business, and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs. Red’s association with courage and bravery makes it a color that is used often in national flags, on shields, and in achievement patches.

I personally love this colour and not afaraid to try anything red from a red lipstick to a shoe or a bag or an outfit. I have also gone ahead and tried some red hues on my hair. Unlike me there are many woman , i have some friends too who are afraid to sport a red on them. But i feel one can find a lot of variations of red colour which will suit your sensibilities. It doesnt have to be necessary a very bright red version..have a look at this shades of red chart below and you are surely going to find your RED colour which you can embrace.

In this blog I am featuring this outfit by a very good designer friend Prerna Punjabi whose has a label called PLENITUDE. I fell in love with this very striking red colour and the styling of this outfit. Prerna is known for her innovative styles such as drape dresses and capes styles. This free flowing butterfly top combined with rose print pallzaos pants with side slits , i felt was a very unique design. I loved the dramatic look of this whole ensemble. I accessorised this outfit with this chunky piece of antic gold neckpiece which i had picked from mytra.com.
