The summers have set in with vengeance i can say in Mumbai. I am really dreading the heat waves in the months of April and May which are the peak summer months. The only sign of relief is going to my short holiday to the ALPS in April, which I am really looking forward, to escape this summer wave here. But till then the heat is on and we got to to live with it.

Lets find ways to stay cool. With the weather edging on scorching hot territory, having an ice cream is a joy not only for children but adults like us. But for fashionistas, ice cream obsession takes on another form where patterns of the delectable dessert become a sweet summer print of choice. Quirky dessert-inspired fashion trend is under the spotlight. This time, the attention’s on ice cream prints. A perfect covet-worthy summer print to wear. I have been seeing some fun ice cream prints on apparels especially for women across various brands. I found this very summery ice blue ice cream and candy print maxi dress on KOOVS.COM. It reminded me of my school days summer vacations - having an orange ice candy in the summers used to be a thing of joy. I think it used to be a ritual to have it everyday during the summer holidays after playing in the scorching heat and that’s the only thing we could buy out of the pocket money we had at that time. I still love those ice candies. Of-course now we have been spoilt with lot of choices and flavours and various brands of ice creams. We all have painted our lips orange and pink depends on the flavours of those ice-candies and playfully showed off our colourful tongues to each other...ha-ha...haven’t we all done that...going down the memory lane!!!

So i thought of using this outfit from Koovs.Com for my Spring-Summer look. To add some fun , my very talented photographer and me thought of using a flower girl kind of styling for this look. Also we thought we could use some ice creams as props for fun but I guess we are still learning how to master photography techniques to shoot with a challenging prop like an ice cream. As you will see in the pictures we settled for some sweet candies instead ;). I found these multi colour (very ice cream flavours colours )sandals which i had picked from GUESS Accessories in my wardrobe which really complimented the outfit.
