This summer the off-the-shoulder trend is no longer a trend, it's become a wardrobe essential. If there's one style that is dominating the fashion scenes off late, it is off-shoulder silhouette. This yesteryear fashion trend of the 60s and 70s -- that made a huge comeback. Flirty, flattering and fashionable in design, it also comes with a dash of bohemian touch to it.With a hint of the Bohemian about it, the current off-the-shoulder trend is one of the hottest looks this season and there’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t join in. The off-the-shoulder design can be found in tops or in dresses, making it endlessly versatile and extremely popular.
Who does not want to show a little extra skin sometimes? On the other hand, who does not worry that a little extra skin might be too much? Off-the-shoulder silhouette are a great compromise between daring and modesty because of what they show and what they leave covered up. Shoulders are also an inherently elegant part of the body, so nearly everyone looks good with an exposed shoulder or two. However, there are many different ways to show a shoulder, and not all of them create exactly the same look. Buyers need to know how to find the right top/dress for their own personal style and body type. Some off-the-shoulder styles are particularly good choices for larger women, but of course plus-sized women need to know how to make the most of this elegant look. Exposed shoulders do look good on pretty much everyone.
Fashion-forward alpha females don't shy away from baring their shoulders.Unlike the slender ones, can plus size women with fuller arms and rounder shoulders sport this trend? Yes ofcourse !!!!!
Well, this is what i read in one of the articles on the off the shoulder trend "If you are too bony, off-shoulders might not look too nice. For women who have a bit of curves, this trend works perfectly for them. After all, it's like you are not showing anything, but you are showing everything". This article actually inspired me to try this trend. Since i have broad shoulders i was not very sure if i would be able to carry this hot summer trend and i guess thats the reason i am writing about this after finally having tried it on...better late then never...we still have some summer days left...don't we???
So ladies ......off-the-shoulder trend is for everyone. If you are on the heavier side and not confident of wearing this trend, try a loose top instead of a fitted one. An A-line off-shoulder top with a pair of jeans or a shift dress will work best. But make sure that you buy an off-shoulder outfit of your size, or else you may have a wardrobe malfunction. If it's not your size, there lies the fear of it falling off.
I wore this off shoulder stripped top recently for a night out. I ordered this online form koovsfashion online...this brand is slowly becoming my favourite choice when it comes to online shopping. They have great styles at very good price points. I teamed it with my favourite pair of leggings from ZARA.
Off-shoulders are great to flaunt your favourite piece of neckpiece - one can choose from sporting a chunky statement piece to a delicate chain or choker or whatever suits your style and mood. I decided to go with the choker which is also soo in trend now. So i got my hands on this Tattoo choker to wear with this top. Remember when you wore a stretchy plastic choker around your neck growing up in the 90s? Well the trend is back, but luckily it’s looking even better than it did the first time around. I must admit i used to hate it back then in the 90's ....they were easily available back then hawkers in local trains of Mumbai used to sell them...this is during my college days. And now when they have made a comeback i don't actually mind this trend hahaha.
Tattoo chokers are plastic necklaces worn tight around the middle of the neck. They are so close to the skin, in fact, that they look just like tattoos, hence the name! The classic tattoo choker is black with interlacing designs, but we’re seeing all different kinds of versions, like leather, colored plastic and fabric. Tattoo chokers can be worn alone, with pendants or combined with other necklaces. I really like them worn like this as you can see layered with another piece (which is created by me..jus fixed a key pendant to a black tread...simple)

So ladies i guess you got enough insight on this hottest trend this season ...so flash some flesh in the most elegant way.
Cheers
