Hey All!!! Hope all’s good at your end.

In today's post i will be featuring one more look for the festive season. As you guys are aware that the Ganesh Festival is just around the corner, so I thought of taking the Ganesh concept as a theme to showcase this outfit post.

For those who know me closely might know that I am not a religious person, but I do respect others worshipping any God/Idol and enthusiastically participate in all the festivities. I feel faith and religion is such a thing that one should believe and follow what makes one happy without disrespecting others beliefs. Nevertheless I love the entire buzz during this time. Ganesh festival is so popular in this part of the world i.e. in Mumbai especially i think every second household brings home this beautiful elephant god. We might all complain about the loud music at the Ganesh Pandals and the traffic jams during immersions.... I do it all the time and many of us do it.... but I guess this is the spirit of this whole festival and keeps this Mumbai City alive. The beauty of Ganesh festival is that over the years now due its growing popularity people from all sections of the society and other religions also celebrate and participate in this festivity.

I find the Ganesh idols extremely beautiful and attractive - the colors of the clothes are so vibrant and all the ornaments on the idol so pretty. We all know that Lord Ganesha is one of the richest gods endowed with all the jewels and wealth. Talking about the Ganesh idol ...i always get attracted to the eyes ...so powerful, compassionate and beautiful. Apart from dressing up and eating all the yummy food and sweets during this festival, my favorite thing is to visit all the Ganesh Pandals and see different types of Ganesh idols. The creativity and concepts showcased during this festival is very interesting!

Coming to the outfit I am featuring today...its from ASTITVA..I had spoken about this brand at length in my last post on festive look. This outfit has an interesting design. It’s a “Lehanga” look but actually it’s not a lehanga. This outfit is a 2-piece outfit...the inner Golden Yellow part, which looks like a lehanga is a dress, and gives an impression of a lehanga. Over this is a Kurti with high slits and very beautiful tassels trimmings as you can see in the pic. I love the color combination of this outfit. It’s so vibrant and festive. The accessories i am showcasing are also by ASTITVA. I fell in love with this handmade Kutch patchwork earrings and neckpiece...so stunning! Also the patchwork and jeweled sling clutch complimented this outfit well. The sling clutch is also from ASTITVA. As you can see the entire look has been created with all of ASTITVAs festive collection. The entire look is so easy and comfy. The duppata free concept is so comfortable for someone who is not used to wearing ethnic wear regularly. If you want to dress it up one can always throw a duppata over...depends on your preference. Also i wore this interesting bindi...half moon design...inspired by Priyanka Chopra from the film BAJIRAO MASTANI..ha-ha...you guys must have surely watched it !!!

Have a look at the pics below and hope you get some inspiration to style a festive look.

Here’s wishing that all you guys seek blessings from the Almighty Lord Ganesh and all your wishes come true.

Have a joyous GANESH FESTIVAL!!!!
