Hi Guys!! Hope all’s well at your end. I am sure you all are done with the festivities and now back to business and normal life. All though now its time to get geared up for the upcoming wedding and party season...it doesn’t seem to end right!!

Also it’s about time to get into your winter gear. I mean we are not there yet, but its kind of getting pleasant here in Mumbai. We Mumbaikars anyways don’t get to experience proper winters but whatever little we get, we don’t leave a chance to layer up. At least that’s how i function. Slight cool chill in the wind and i get into my cover-ups, jackets and layered clothing. I personally love winter fashion, and wish i could really fulfil all my fantasies of dressing up how i want and go all out. But in Mumbai we rarely get that opportunity.

Though this year i am quite satisfied as i lived my dream of sporting winter fashion when i visited Europe in April.

This look i am presenting today on this blog post is about layering up. Layering is all about pairing different kinds of clothes together to create one cozy, bundled up, thrown-together look that seems effortless yet very fashionable. In theory, it’s pretty simple: add a jacket or cardigan or a cape over a tank top, or pair a dress with a jacket or a blazer for a more formal look. Take for example the go-to denim jacket, which is so versatile for layering up.

You can wear it over your denims or mini skirts or dresses, it jus about goes with everything if styled well. If you were the one to follow fashion trends few years ago, a slim-cut, dark-denim, heritage-inspired style would probably be the best choice. But today it’s totally a different story. The influence of street wear on both luxury and high-street fashion has helped designers embrace looser, more androgynous shapes, and our obsession with personalization has opened the door to patches, rips, and embroidery on practically everything we wear. If you were to buy a denim jacket today, it might look a little bit like this the one I am wearing in this blog post. Every trend has its bonuses, and the oversize, personalized denim jacket is no exception. For one, you can actually layer underneath of it, which means you can wear it in colder weather. This denim jacket i bought from

Koovs Fashion i thought was apt for the pleasant winter feel we are experiencing in Mumbai right now.

Talking about personalization i am planning to add more drama to this jacket. The artist and creative worm inside me is bursting with ideas. I feel like painting the back portion of this jacket, or maybe add some big vintage or ethnic Indian patch. I am so tempted to actually execute this. It will soon feature on my Insta feed...i guess. Its so much fun...isn’t it !!!

As you can see i have styled this denim jacket with a knit midi dress, which is also from Koovs Fashion Actually I am dressed in Koovs Fashion from head to toe…yeh these shoes are also from Koovs by this brand called My Foot Couture. I was impressed by the quality of these shoes and it is a complete value for money buy . The unique stacked sole is what attracted me to pick these shoes and of course the colour too. The color of the dress and my shoes are so bang on shouting Autumn /Fall trend aloud. Burgundy is such a popular Fall color and my favorite too. Top it up with dark lipcolour, which is a Fall mandatory when it comes to make up trend.

So girls I am all set to welcome the cold winters !! You get geared up too.
