Hi all !! This summer we have seen some interesting trends like off shoulder , cold shoulder , stripes , ruffles etc which keep coming back with improved versions from previous years. But one such trend which i found unique this Spring Summer and i am gonna talk on this blog is the "Statement Sleeves" trend. This 2017, the fashion world is taking the word “statement” to a whole new level. We’re not talking about eye-catching accessories or bold, patterned separates anymore. Instead, we’re talking about voluminous, chic, statement sleeves.Whether bell-shaped or balloon, these OTT accents bring new meaning to the term arm candy.Despite the broad range of prints, patterns, palettes, textures, and silhouettes that dominated the Spring/Summer 2017 Fashion Week runways, designers across New York, London, Milan, and Paris could all agree on one major trend: the statement sleeve. This practically universal fascination trickled down from the cold-shoulder and bohemian trends seen this year, and the results for 2017 are wide-ranging and fantastic.

No longer an understated and simple part of the shirt, statement sleeves have evolved into different shapes and volumes over the past fashion season. The best part? There are different styles to suit your frame and sartorial tastes. If you haven’t dived into this trend just yet, we’ve got your back. There were poet’s sleeves, bishop’s sleeves, gigot sleeves, sleeves trimmed with fluttering fabric accents, sleeves with cut-outs, and sleeves that were embellished, flared, or overly long. Every variety imaginable coursed down the runway, with plenty of references to the Romantic periods reworked for the modern era.

No accessories needed when wearing this season’s voluptuous sleeves. The look commands attention and, the bigger the sleeve, the more you will be the envy of those with a finer sense of fashion and detail.

So one such sleeves tapped as the hottest statement sleeves of 2017, are Bell sleeves which are predicted to replace the cold shoulder trend from last year. This sleeve style usually flares from the elbow down to the wrists, emulating the shape of a bell; it adds a dramatic flair to any look.
