Hey Guys !!! How are you all doing. So we are at the end of the year and like every year we will be left with a feeling that...gosh this year has gone really fast. But not the case with me this year. I feel 2017 second half has been pretty slow for me.
I guess one of the reasons being that all festivities got over by October and in November we did 'nt have anything at all. This kind of created an inertia and boredom within me. So much so i did'nt feel like doing much. Thats the reason i have been really inactive here. I plan to be more active and up my game here in 2018.....oh yeh u heard it right .
So its the month of December the party month , almost the end though....did you girls party hard. I am sure all of you are now getting geared up for the New Years Eve. Trying to figure out your best dress for the New Years Eve nite. If you have'nt yet picked up your outfit and confused what to wear...you can get some ideas from here. For me party look = Sequence . As i am a big fan of Sequence dresses i am gonna talk briefly about this trend in this blog post
Firstly do you know what was trending this fall and was seen all over fashion runways ?
SEQUINS SEQUINS SEQUINS - yaaaaayy my favourite.
And didn't you hear? Sequins are for life, not just for Christmas parties. Hahaha...this so applies to my fashion sensibilities !!! Also a small dose of sparkle never hurt anyone.
A touch of sparkle is an instant way to liven up your wardrobe
I have noticed that many of us shy from wearing sequins or anything bling. Also many associate it with being loud and over the top. But its not true if worn in the right way and styled well . Whether you hover towards edgier fashion style with short, shimmery dresses or you prefer girly, romantic vibes, there is a style in sequins just for you.
2018 brings an interesting twist to the Sequins trend. So if you thought your embellished garments were only fit for the holiday party season, think again. At New York Fashion Week, designers went heavy on sequins for Spring 2018, proving that the shiny, glistening detail can be worn for absolutely any occasion outside of New Year's Eve.
Tom Ford set the stage for a sparkly trend as he kicked off fashion week with a slew of evening-ready looks, from slinky gowns with embellished sleeves to super-short mini dresses covered in crystals. At Coach, sequined skirts, dresses and tops boasted patterns inspired by iconic New York artist Keith Haring, while models showed off the looks on an equally shimmery runway covered in glitter. Designer duo Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia applied sequins at both Monse and Oscar de la Renta, which means we'll likely see plenty of sparkle on the red carpet in the future. Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors got in on the action, too, covering dresses and separates in bold-colored and silver sequins, respectively.
So, there you have it: plenty of runway proof that sequins might just replace your florals come spring. Should you find yourself wondering how you're going to keep your new sequined purchases clean, we got you covered, too. If you tend to save your sparkles for the festive season, then that's all going to change next spring. In both London and New York, sequins have reigned supreme on the SS18 catwalks, coming in many incarnations, adorning shoes, dresses, trousers, blazers and accessories.
So you see ladies SEQUINES are for LIFE for sure !!!
I have put together two looks taking cues from the Fashion Reports mentioned above.
Look 1
This is an edgy modern look where i am wearing this silver glitter shimmer sequins short dress from Zara. I styled it with velvet purple boots from Koovs Fashion. This is a perfect outfit if you are going clubbing on the New Years Eve. This look is surely for the bold ones , who want it loud and out there jus like me...hehe.

Wearing this midnight blue sequenced elegant evening gown . I had custom made this outfit from my designer friend Prerna Punjabi. Its a very classic style gown and one can never go wrong with this look. So if your style is girly , feminine and classy this is how you can sport the sequence trend. This is your ideal New Years Eve ballroom party gown. Make sure your date has a Tuxedo or Suit on if he has to accompany you in this kind of look.
